Rochas Okorocha Picks up Imo State Governorship Ticket After Presidential Run Failure

Just 20 hours after Governor Rochas Okorocha failed at the (APC) presidential primaries held on December 11, 2014, the Imo State APC yesterday hurriedly organized a gubernatorial primary  to return as governor of imo state.

The state Commissioner for Lands and the son-in-law of Governor Okorocha, Chief Uche Nwosu, who had earlier been elected as the consensus governorship candidate of the party surprisingly withdrew his candidature.
According to Sun, Chairman of the election committee of the party, Mr. John Alamba, said the party had to organize another gubernatorial primaries in line with the party’ s constitution to replace Chief Uche Nwosu
