Liverpool have moved into pole position to sign Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard after he arrived on Merseyside for talks.
Odegaard, who has been dubbed the best young player in the world, plays for Stromsgodset and has already been capped by Norway – at the age of 15.
Real Madrid and Manchester United have both made offers for him, but reports say he’s now flown to England to start negotiations with Liverpool.
The Anfield club want him to say ‘yes’ to a switch in January and are apparently prepared to offer big money to get the deal done.
Brendan Rodgers will sit down with Odegaard in the next two days to thrash out terms, with Liverpool hoping the personal touch with help them do business.
