Manchester United And Borussia Dortmund Games Could Change Arsenal’s Season, Arteta

Aiming for improvement: Arteta is eyeing two wins

Mikel Arteta feels Arsenal’s next two games – against Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund – could define their season.

Having endured a difficult start to the new season, the Gunners currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, 12 points adrift of Chelsea.

Arsenal have had their team spirit and confidence questioned during that run of form, but captain Arteta feels upcoming big games could change the mood around the club.

“We have two games against Manchester United and Dortmund at home and if we get the crowd with us from the start and get the results then it will be a very different story again,” the Spaniard told Arsenal’s official website.

“A week ago, after three wins in a row, the place was getting back to normal with everyone looking happy. Then after two disappointing results, [it is down].

“It is a rollercoaster at the moment but we need to manage the emotion because this is a long-term situation and we need to be where we want to be in April and May, so let’s be patient.”

Arteta, though, firmly believes that Arsenal can come out of this difficult patch, and called for the Gunners to rally during the next few games, with “everyone on their toes and ready to fight.”
