Manchester United are reported to have agreed a deal to re-sign former captain Nemanja Vidic from Inter Milan in January.

Vidic, now 33, left United at the end of last season to join Inter, but the switch has proved to be a disaster after a run of bad performances.

That hasn’t put the Red Devils off though, and after reports of their interest in re-signing Vidic last month, the Daily Star now says a deal has been agreed.

The paper claims that Louis van Gaal has personally thrashed out terms and the veteran centre back is now poised to arrive in the new year.

What a mad deal….
